MATTESON, ILLINOIS - The Rich Township Girls Bowling team won the Southland Athletic Conference championship on Thursday, January 27th. This marks the first championship in Girls Bowling history for the Rich Township Raptors.
“Overall it was a great experience for our lady bowlers this year. They really did a great job in reaching their goal of winning the conference championship,” said Head Coach Stacie Wolf. “These were some of the highest average scores I have seen in my career as a coach in Rich Township. I couldn’t be more proud of the ladies’ accomplishments.”
Along with the team championship, Rich Township also had four top ten finishers, naming them to the All-Conference Team; Trinity Cook, Dazani Holmes, Catelyn Eison, and Tajah Matthews.
The Rich Township Girls Bowling team ended their regular season with a 7-1 record and will be competing at the IHSA Regional competition Saturday, February 5th at Orland Bowl.
