Rich Township High School is proud to announce the recipients of this year’s Rich Township Scholarship: Jaxon Hainey of the Fine Arts and Communication campus and Kamari Taylor Garrett of the STEM campus. These remarkable students have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and community involvement throughout their high school careers.
Jaxon Hainey, who will be attending Alabama A&M University, has been a standout student in the Fine Arts and Communication program. Jaxson's exceptional talent in visual arts and his dedication to community service have earned him this well-deserved scholarship.
Kamari Taylor Garrett, set to attend St. Louis University, has excelled at the STEM campus, showing a profound commitment to science and mathematics. Kamari’s leadership in technology clubs and volunteer initiatives highlights the passion and drive that Rich Township High School encourages in its students.
"These students represent the best of Rich Township. They have not only achieved academically but have also made significant contributions to their school and community," said Dr. Johnnie Thomas, Superintendent. "We are thrilled to support them on their journey to higher education and beyond."
The scholarship was awarded by Rich Township Supervisor Calvin Jordan, the Board of Trustees, and Constitutional Officers, who all commend the hard work and dedication of these outstanding students.
