Rich Township High School is proud to spotlight Jeremiah Mitchell, a remarkable alumnus from the class of May 2014, formerly known as Mr. Olympian, quarterback, and linebacker at our beloved Rich Central High School. Jeremiah has made significant strides since his high school days, bringing pride and resources back to his community through his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to wellness.
After an impressive tenure as a starting Division 1 football player at Austin Peay State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management, Jeremiah pursued a career in arena football, collecting numerous accolades along the way. However, his aspirations went beyond the field. In 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeremiah embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, earning certifications as a strength and conditioning coach and a personal trainer. He began his career at the local community center, helping athletes reach their full potential.
Jeremiah's reputation as a skilled trainer quickly grew, and by September 2023, he had expanded his venture by acquiring the former Sell It Again Sam location in Richton Park, transforming it into Mitch’s Fitness Training Center—a state-of-the-art facility complete with an indoor turf field, previously only found in northern suburbs. This strategic move not only catered to our community's fitness needs but also allowed our youth and families to train at a top-notch facility right in their backyard.
Moreover, Jeremiah’s commitment to community service led him to establish The Mitchell Embrace NFP, a foundation dedicated to enriching the lives of our youth and families. His story exemplifies the powerful impact of our educational system and the relentless spirit of our students.
The entire Rich Township community is encouraged to support Jeremiah Mitchell and Mitch’s Fitness Training Center, located at 22137 Governors Highway, Richton Park, IL 60471. The center offers summer camps, athletic training, group fitness programs, and more.
Congratulations, Jeremiah! Your journey continues to inspire us all.
